VPN does not connect

What to check if VPN for Friends does not connect or keeps disconnecting.

Start with the basics.
Most connection issues are resolved by updating your profile, switching servers, or restarting the app.

What to check

1. Check your internet connection without VPN

Turn off the VPN and open any website. If the internet does not work without VPN either, the issue may be with your Wi‑Fi, mobile network, or device.

2. Update your VPN profile/subscription

If your app has an update or refresh button for the subscription, use it. An outdated profile may contain invalid connection settings. See Update your VPN profile.

3. Try another server/location in the app

Choose a different server from the list and connect again. Sometimes only one server or route is unavailable.

4. Restart the VPN app

Close the VPN app completely, open it again, and try to connect. If that does not help, restart your device.

5. Check that your subscription is active in the account

Open your account and make sure your subscription is active and paid.

6. Try switching mobile/Wi‑Fi network

Test the connection on another network. For example, if VPN does not work on home Wi‑Fi, try mobile data — or the other way around.

7. Contact support if the issue remains

If the VPN still does not connect after these steps, contact support with your device model, app name, selected server, and a screenshot of the error if available.
